Wedding Photographer in Geneva

I’ve been photographing weddings in Geneva and the region for several years. Whether by the lake, in the old town, or elsewhere, my approach stays the same: capturing your emotions, not just the settings.

Geneva attracts couples from all over the world: diplomacy, finance, watchmaking, scientific research. Weddings here often bring together multiple cultures, languages, and sometimes religions. My work adapts to who you are — not to what a Pinterest preset would like you to be. I photograph civil ceremonies at the Mairie de la Ville de Genève just as naturally as three-day weddings in vineyard estates, or intimate countryside celebrations beyond the city.

What Really Matters

The location you’ve chosen for your Geneva wedding doesn’t matter that much to me. What interests me is you. Your glances, your laughter, your silences. Those moments that make a wedding unique.

I’m not here to direct a photo shoot with perfect poses in front of monuments. I’m here to document your day as it unfolds, with its planned moments and surprises.

My Approach

Discretion
I blend into the atmosphere. You live your wedding, I capture what happens.

Authenticity
No forced staging. The best photos are those where you’re simply yourselves.

Spontaneity
The most beautiful moments aren’t planned. A tear during vows, laughter among friends, a knowing glance: that’s what I’m looking for.

Why Me for Your Geneva Wedding?

I travel throughout French-speaking Switzerland, and Geneva is no exception. Whether you’ve planned a grand celebration or an intimate ceremony, my role remains the same: witnessing your story.

I don’t claim to know every corner of Geneva. But I know how to recognize a powerful moment when I see it. And that’s what counts.

Notable wedding venues in and around Geneva

The Geneva region offers a rare variety of settings: historic hotels along the lake, vineyard estates from Satigny to Bernex, and alpine chalets reachable within an hour via the Salève or Haute-Savoie. Here are some venues where I have photographed or that I recommend to my couples.

Signature hotels — Beau-Rivage, Four Seasons Hôtel des Bergues, Mandarin Oriental, Hôtel d’Angleterre and Grand Hôtel Kempinski define Geneva’s urban reception scene, overlooking the lake and the Jet d’eau. The President Wilson and InterContinental complete this circle for more international celebrations.

Estates and châteaux — For a more rural atmosphere, Domaine de Choully in Satigny, Château de Penthes in Pregny, Villa Sarasin in Bellevue, Domaine du Paradis, or Abbaye de Presinge offer gardens, vaulted cellars and historic halls. Château de Coppet, just across the Vaud border, remains a timeless classic.

Couple portraits — Jardin Anglais, Parc La Grange, Bains des Pâquis, the Old Town (cour Saint-Pierre, rue du Perron, place du Bourg-de-Four) and the Geneva countryside toward the Jura allow for natural portrait sessions, between lake light and old stone.

Every location has its own light, its own pace, its own constraints. My role is to tell your story where it actually unfolds — not to force it onto a backdrop that does not fit.

Frequently asked questions — Wedding photographer in Geneva

How much does a wedding photographer cost in Geneva?

My wedding packages start at CHF 2,500 for 5 hours of coverage (ceremony and cocktail hour) and go up to CHF 3,400 for 9 hours from preparations through the first dance. A Plus package at CHF 4,200 covers 7 hours with a second photographer — useful for weddings split across two venues or with larger guest counts. Every package includes professional retouching, a private high-resolution gallery and downloadable files. Full details on the wedding packages page.

Do you speak English for international weddings?

Yes. I regularly work with English-speaking couples — diplomatic weddings, international unions, expatriate families. The entire reportage can be conducted in English, from the preparations to the last toast. I also welcome guidance in German for guests coming from the Swiss-German regions.

Do you cover civil ceremonies at Geneva City Hall?

Yes. The Mairie de la Ville de Genève, the Plainpalais wedding room and the municipal halls of the canton (Carouge, Vernier, Meyrin, Cologny) are venues I photograph with full discretion. Most require a fixed position and no flash. I always plan exit portraits on the forecourt and a short couple session nearby when the schedule allows.

Do you offer a second photographer or a videographer?

On request, I work with a second photographer for weddings with two separate locations or large guest counts (120+). For video, I partner with two trusted videographers whose style complements mine — the goal is a cohesive team rather than a mix of different styles.

How soon do I get the photos after the wedding?

You receive a preview of 30 to 50 images within 7 to 10 days, then the complete retouched gallery (300 to 600 photos depending on the package) within 6 to 8 weeks maximum. Everything is delivered through a private online gallery, downloadable, without complex passwords, and archived for at least 12 months.
