Photographing a wedding photographer — a motivating challenge in Neuchâtel, Switzerland
Photographing the wedding of another photographer is always a little bit stressful. It wasn’t my first time, but it’s always exciting.
This celebration took place in the canton of Neuchâtel, in the beautiful setting of Domaine de Belle Ferme, Switzerland. It was a day filled with emotion, laughter, and a truly genuine couple who made everything feel effortless.
The challenge of the day was the weather — a very grey sky and soft, flat light that wasn’t easy to work with. But these are the kinds of conditions that push a wedding photographer in Switzerland to be creative, to find emotion through subtle tones and authentic moments.
Among the guests, there were even a few fellow photographers. Intimidating? Not really. Motivating, actually.
It’s the kind of day that reminds me why I love this job. When the light isn’t perfect, what remains are the people, their emotions, and those fleeting, genuine moments that make a wedding so special in Switzerland.
